SANTIAGO, Chile – AQUASEC was formally launched at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in Santiago, Chile on March 13, 2012, with a follow-up activity planned in Tucson, Arizona, USA, May 29-31, 2012.

At the Santiago launch, stakeholders and researchers from Chile, the U.S., Mexico, and Argentina, including government agencies, international organization, civil society, and the private sector gathered to discuss and prioritize water security challenges for the arid Americas.
